Welcome to the Good Shepherd

Our parish is a welcoming, open, and vibrant community of believers who work together to share the love and joy of God and proclaim the Good News our risen Savior Jesus Christ. From our shared worship to times of fellowship, prayer, and service we strive to make sure that no matter who you are or where you are in your journey, that you feel welcomed and loved, and that your presence with us is celebrated.

As an Episcopal parish, we honor our Anglican roots in our liturgy while striving to be a comfortable, accommodating place for Christians of all faith traditions. We find reverence and joy in the ancient creeds and traditions of the Christian faith while opening ourselves to find new ways to celebrate the Father, Son, and Spirit.

Community is important at the Good Shepherd, and as such we seek to live out our faith not only within our Parish but throughout Decatur and North Alabama. In offering help and prayer our friends and neighbors, through service to those in need, and in opening our facilities to the community, we sincerely hope that the Love of Christ is made known to all.

Please know that you will not only be welcomed at the Good Shepherd, no matter who you are, you will be our honored guest. We would love for you to join us as we worship and joyously proclaim the Gospel of Christ.
